Maine Quality Forum Advisory Council
About the Maine Quality Forum Advisory Council
The Maine Quality Forum Advisory Council (MQF-AC) is a multi-stakeholder group consisting of consumers, providers, payers and insurers. The AC provides a wide range of perspectives and expertise to advise the MQF in its activities. In addition the MQF-AC has three active committees. The Technology Assessment Committee (TAC) advises the MQF-AC and the MQF on issues of medical technology. The TAC has adopted proven technology assessment protocols that it uses to formulate advice to the MQF-AC and MQF on medical technology questions as they pertain to the State Health Plan and the certificate of need (CON) process. The Performance Indicator Committee (PIC) reviews recognized criteria for indicators of process and quality and recommends multiple indicators to the MQF for approval. The Community Engagement Committee (CEC) reviews, develops, and offers advice on community engagement initiatives.

Maine Quality Forum Advisory Council Provider Group
The Maine Quality Forum Advisory Council Provider group (PG) consists of health care providers who were nominated by their peers and selected by the MQF-AC to advise the MQF-AC from their professional perspectives. The PG is expected to represent the opinion and expertise of their peers and advocate from their professional perspective. The PG is particularly valuable in technology assessment when it falls into their individual areas of expertise.
