How to give feedback on your provider?
All providers want your opinion of how they are doing both good and bad. Your opinion is an important tool for the system of care to improve. Most physicians and nurses and other health professionals accept criticism and praise well. Health professionals are intelligent and highly trained. Suggestions will help them improve at what they do. Point out the good things to improve the system.
If you find that you do not want to talk with your health provider, a simple letter will be appreciated. All hospitals have staff members who are trained to help you clear up any problems or misunderstanding. They want to hear from you.
Your participation in your care is necessary. You must communicate with your provider. The AARP outlines ways to talk with your provider.
